Week Twenty-Three ~ Madeline’s First Vacation Part 1

We had a wonderful vacation and were able to show Madeline a lot of new things. She was very well behaved on the trip and seemed unfazed by the almost nine hour drives. She did get impatient at times, but so did her parents. 🙂

     First Time at Epcot – Met Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore
     First Time at the Beach – Touched the Ocean and Played in the Sand

Week Twenty-Two – 5 Months Old

January 7th, 2009

It was a busy week. On Sunday, December 21 Madeline did a couple of things she had never done before. She reached for Andre’ and also her bottle. On Monday, she grabbed her feet for the first time and then later in the week she figured out how to get her feet in her mouth. They’ve since become one of her favorite chew toys. The other milestone is she’s learning to blow raspberries and this keeps her amused (and us too) for much of the time.

This week we also celebrated our first Christmas together and Madeline got to open her first presents. Each time she seemed to get better and better at pulling on the paper.

And finally, on Saturday, she "enjoyed" her first rice cereal meal. It went over better than expected since we managed to finish the feeding without us all being covered in it.
