Week Twenty-Three ~ Madeline’s First Vacation Part 2

January 21st, 2009

Following a wonderful day at Epcot, we headed to Port Canaveral on Tuesday to have lunch with friends Matt, Tiffany and their new baby boy Zachary. It’s the first time Madeline and Zachary have been able to interact with each other.  Madeline was ready to go. Zachary, who’s about 5 weeks younger, was more cautious. Soon he’ll be ready to play too. Unfortunately, neither Tiffany nor Jennifer captured Madeline sucking on Zachary’s hand, but it was definitely fun to watch.

After lunch we drove to the beach off of "I Dream of Jeannie Lane."  Madeline and Jennifer walked to the edge of the ocean (which was cold!) and put their feet in. Then Madeline got to play in sand.

We then headed to Zephyrhills to see Andre’s parents and to spend the last few days of our vacation. That night we opened presents and Madeline had the whole thing figured out a little more.
