Madeline has recently had two firsts. She had her first sips of cow’s milk from a sippy and she took her first steps on August 7th. Both are a work in progress. <\/p>\n

To Madeline, only water goes in a sippy and so she refuses to drink more than a sip of it. It is now back in her bottle and we’ll keep trying to get her to drink it from a sippy. There is after all no rush. <\/p>\n

She also decided to let go of the ottoman one night and take a few steps to retrieve a block from her daddy’s hand. With each attempt to take steps, she goes a little further. She is slowly gaining confidence. We’ve included video in this post of her early walking that was recorded two nights after her first steps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
